Haha Chill! Times are changing MaSh- Macs are possibly the way forward in the realm of computing. No more crashing or viruses or stress. Sounds good to me!
I've been mulling this over for several months now by the way!

Who are you and what have you done with my friend?

You just lost several thousand points with me for even thinking about getting a Mac. This has really come out of the blue. I may have to resurrect my old anti-mac article lol.

No problem! Thanks for your reply, it has definitely given me some food for thought. You are totally right with the fact that nothing really goes wrong with a Mac. I can't tell you the number of hard drive failures I've had, Windows going corrupt, programs not working etc.
Whatever happens in the future with regards to hardware failure, corruption etc will depend upon whether I switch to a Mac or not. I suppose I've got to decide whether I jump before something bad happens, or do I get pushed after a disaster?

I've been fully converted to using a Mac for a little under a year now. Before that I was using an iBook for fun (browsing, music, movies etc) and a Sony Vaio for work. My PC was riddled with problems, however. The net connection would drop constantly, just having to scan for viruses every day was a pain. It really affected my work flow. Then I bought an iMac...

I've not had one problem with my iMac, and I can honestly say it's improved my productivity ten fold, with all the amazing applications you can download (Things!), not to mention the fact it just works.

One sentence that stood out for me in your blog post was: "With a PC, you get WAY more for your money." Well, do you really? You have to buy and upgrade anti-virus software, spend a significant portion (from personal experience) attending to something that's went wrong. But then again, I guess you do get way more due to the fact it comes pre-installed with tons of crap you'll never use :p

I guess you can see clearly what side of the fence I sit on. However, if PC gaming is a big thing to you, then don't make the move over to Mac. I'm not a PC gamer so never had that problem, but I do know, like you, I wouldn't want to install another OS, not to mention the cost of buying Windows.

Wow, big reply. My bad! Hope you you are happy with whatever decision you make.
