From what I've read about Don from friends, family and colleagues after his passing, he seemed like a warm, big hearted, generous and caring gent. This was reflected on-screen as General Hammond, and I know he will be missed by all. I hope they do some sort of tribute in the next SG-1 film or something, as he was such a big part of the show for so many years.

RIP Don
