With recent talk of gaming slumps reverberating across the blogosphere, I read them and can totally relate, having to effectively abstain from any meaningful amount of gaming for the past few months and feeling my self-worth as a gamer shrivel.
So I tried to rack my brains for the antonym of ’slump’ and the best I [...]
Hola mis amigos, ¿qué tal? Some say I’ve been to Spain, others say I’ve been away on a long and mysterious journey, looking for the ‘New Sound‘. In reality, I’ve been doing the relatively mundane task of completing my finals, and thus managing to finish a law degree which I never want to do ever [...]
To all my readers, visitors, and distinguished guests, Los Havros will be taking a break from blogging for the next few weeks, and will resume normal blogging service towards the end of May 2009. I’ll update this notice when I’m back. Promise. (Update: I’ve returned!)
In the meantime, I’ll probably still be rambling on about exactly [...]
Considering a Mac (an update)
Posted in Technology, blog on Apr 9th, 2009
This post is the next step along from my post entitled ‘What is stopping me getting a Mac‘. At this moment in time, I’m still completely open to switching to the Mac if the switch would work in my favour. It has been about 11 months since my last post on this topic, and we’ll [...]
Should I adopt a tag line for my blog?
Posted in blog on Apr 8th, 2009
I’m unsure whether I should have a short, sharp and descriptive ‘tag line’ for my blog. Personally, I’m not bothered or affected by this either way, but my readers might. I’d be ever-s0-grateful if you could vote for what you think. If you select ‘yes’, could you explain why or what you would suggest?
I’ve released a set of videos on Vimeo which you can find at http://www.vimeo.com/loshavros
I have previously tried Flickr and YouTube for uploading video, but YouTube’s quality is rubbish, and both services not only limit the file size, but cut down the length of uploaded videos anyway! As a result, I’ve uploaded ‘My PS3 Games Stash’ [...]
This is a totally open question to absolutely anyone reading this. I’m thinking of shooting some video for inclusion on this site, but with a wealth of video content on some of the bigger sites and other sites doing video reviews, I have the ability and the will to do something different… I’m just not [...]

I’d like to share with you some memories of gaming days gone by, when times were simpler, and true 3D gaming was a novelty…
Schoolboy shenanigans
In the mid 90s, I’ll always remember finishing school on a Friday, and spending it with my mate. First, I’d go out with him and help him do his [...]
Back on the streets- Firstly, I’d like to apologise for my absence this past month or so. It all started with good intentions, but then things just went catastrophically wrong. However that’s all in the past and I’m beginning to pick myself up from that setback. What isn’t on though, is my rubbish mobile broadband [...]
