GRID: Reloaded and DLC announced- New Prestige pack in addition to the 8-Ball pack DLC to be bundled with the platinum-selling game. Hits the PSN in the PAL region on March 11. For me though, if there’s no Trophies, then no deal. That’s how you’d get more people playing such a great, under-rated title.
Next wave of EA game server shutdowns detailed (Joystiq)- Some of these games are fairly old, so perhaps it’s about time. Still, it’s a sobering thought if you rely on an online service for your regular gaming fix. There’s a full list over on Joystiq.
Reading 2K Marin: Console wars: ‘drown out creative discourse’- Joystiq. Some wise words there.
In an announcement that surprised no-one, Rockstar finally divulged that the Episodes From Liberty City would be making their way to the PS3 and PC on the 30th of March 2010. Microsoft pays roughly $50 million to develop these episodes, but PS3 gamers get them in the end anyway. Works for us.
It’s here! It’s finally here! Video will be available to purchase/rent on the PlayStation Store tomorrow (19th), or as SCEE like to call it: the video delivery service. I accidentally came across the information just now when reading a SCEE press release on one of my old email accounts. In the future, I can see [...]
Compare Trophies with a Friend and more on eu.playstation.com- You name it; comparing Trophies with friends, checking overall or per-game leaderboards, viewing online statuses, viewing and filtering your friends list by different criteria- it’s all there. A great update to eu.playstation.com
PlayStation.Blog.Europe now live- These guys are my new best friends in the world of PlayStation news. Billed as “Your daily fix of PlayStation news from across the SCEE region”, I look forward to reading all the great content that’s going to be hitting my screen from now on. Fantastic.
Access to Uncharted 2 Multiplayer beta with inFamous- Well, this confirms the Uncharted 2 multiplayer rumours. Still, I’d have much rather had a single player demo of Uncharted 2. I guess this is better than nothing. See also: all of Kotaku’s Uncharted 2 coverage.
PlayStation.Blog details PSP Firmware (v5.50) Update- Tighter integration with the PlayStation Network via the Information Board just like the PS3, but Trend Micro web security for the browser?! Fair enough I suppose, the web can be a dangerous place.
2K to release BioShock 2 simultaneously on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC- Equality rules! I haven’t managed to get started on the original yet, so personally, I hope the release date is far away. 2009 is going to be a game-tastic year for me.
Amazon moves into casual gaming in a very big way- This could actually work. Amazon certainly has clout. But I wonder how it will fare against Valve’s own Steam client? It’ll also be interesting to see in future their success measured against Apple’s App Store.
Welcome to my personal blog where I ramble on about PS3-related gaming matters and other snippets that interest me.
